AT THE BEGINNING OF THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE KULAI DISTRICT COUNCIL

 

The Kulai District Council was set up on January 1, 1976. It is in the form of a combination of 9 local councils, namely :

1)    Kulai
2)    Senai
3)    Kelapa Sawit
4)    Seelong
5)    Saleng
6)    Sengkang
7)    Ayer Bemban
8)    Sedenak
9)    Bukit Batu

At the beginning of its establishment, the Kulai District Council (MPKu) has a total area of ​​123.336 sq km comprising of 40 left and right chains of major Federal roads leading to Johor Bahru, Senai, Ayer Hitam and Kota Tinggi. The MDK Administration also covers the route of the Malayan Railways which links the journey from North to South, and to Singapore. The strategic location of Kulai which is easy to contact from various directions has resulted in it being chosen as the Head Office to administer the areas under its administration.
